SLBot.net is a service of making and managing bots for Second Life. Bot is a program, which may connect to Second Life servers and act as usual client. In the Second Life world bot looks like ususal avatar.
With SLBot.net you may create one or more bots and manage them throug a web-site or in the SL world throug your avatar (which called master avatar in this case). SLBot.net acts like Second Life Bot Hosting service so You don't need to run any programs on your computer. For running your bot you should only create bot in BOT MANAGER and push the Activate button. After this your bot will appear in SL world and will work 24/7 for you untill you press Deactivate button. For more info on how to install bot read the manual.
What the bot can do?
Your bot can look like usual avatar(turn head looking at objects, play different animations, etc. ), move to given coordinates or walk on waypoints, sit at objects and even talk with other avatars (using given AIML BRAIN). You may manage behaviour of the bot by typing the commands to bot's IM or by Startup Script at Bot Properties. Some of Bot's commands is here.
Some ppl just have fun with bot playing in Second Life. Some of them make money using bots at camper pads. Since the bot acts as usual client he can do almost all the things ususal avatar can do. Say, meet people, invite in the group, act like porter, act like NPC in MMORPG games in Second Life or do other fun things. Since I love bots and bot playing in Second Life I decided to share this service (which I use also) with the ppl like me
How much does it cost?
Since there are some charges for maintanance the service the bot "eats" some linden dollars during his life depending of the commands you are using. The bot with basic commands will eat 10L$ per day. More info about bot commands is here.
We also develop powerful light weight client for Second Life and other grids (based on opensimulator platform) called OSRBot. More info on this subject is here.
